Ingredients

1½ lbs boneless chicken
¼ cup yogurt
2 tbsp mango pickle
½ tsp mustard seeds
¼ tsp fenugreek seeds
1 tbsp fennel seeds
1 tsp nigella seeds
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 large tomato, chopped
3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
2 mild green chilies, sliced

How to Make Achari Chicken

Marinate:

Add the marinated chicken to the pan along with any leftover yogurt mixture. Stir well.

Cook Onions and Spices:

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions and cook until golden brown. stir in the crushed spices and turmeric powder. Cook for 35 seconds.

Add Ginger and Tomatoes:

Stir in ginger-garlic paste, then add tomatoes. Cook until soft and jammy.

Cook the Chicken:

If using an Instant Pot: Add chicken and ½ cup water. Cook for 5 minutes.
Finish: Stir in the remaining mango pickle and green chilies. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
