Ingredients
For the Koftas:
1 tsp Ginger Paste
1 tsp Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Onion Paste
1 tsp Garam Masala
2 tbsp Roasted Gram Flour (Besan)
Salt (use a little less, as gravy has salt too)
For the Gravy:
3 tbsp Ghee
4 Onions (fried and blended into a paste)
1 Tomato (chopped)
1 tbsp Poppy Seeds
Spices:
Coriander Seeds, Cumin, Cardamoms, Cloves, Cinnamon, Dry Red Chilies
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
1 tsp Garam Masala
Green Chilies and Coriander Leaves for garnish
How to Make It
Fry the Onions:
Thinly slice and fry the onions until golden. Cool and blend into a paste.
Make Spice Paste:
Roast the spices (poppy seeds, cumin, etc.), blend with almonds and water into a smooth paste.
Prepare the Koftas:
Mix all kofta ingredients,Roll into small balls, and fry them in ghee until golden. Set aside.
Cook the Gravy:
In the same pan, sauté ginger-garlic paste, then add the spice and onion pastes. Cook until fragrant. Add the tomatoes, garam masalah and green chili.
Add Koftas:
Add water for desired consistency, bring to a boil, and gently drop in the koftas. Simmer for 7-8 minutes.
Serve hot with rice or parathas.
